Rick Genzer is the Director of Investments for Information Technology at Ben Franklin Technology Partners. For over 30 years, Ben Franklin has been the leading seed stage capital provider for Southeastern Pennsylvania’s technology sectors, investing over $175 million in more than 1,750 regional technology companies, many of which have gone on to become industry leaders. Working with the Investment Group, Rick identifies, vets, and ultimately invests in seed-level high-tech companies. Currently, a veteran of five leading-edge startups, Rick’s experience, and role provide him with a unique perspective in relating to and assisting Ben-funded companies. His philosophy is rising tide raises all boats. Outside of Ben Franklin, Rick is an avid volunteer in various good causes and is the co-chair of the Patient and Family Advisory Council for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Rick has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. In his spare time, Rick enjoys making/ building things.
