Steven Frydman is an attorney at Gearhart Law focused on intellectual property law, with a particular emphasis on trademark and copyright protection for entrepreneurs, creatives, and growing businesses. He works with clients to help protect the brands, ideas, and businesses they have worked hard to build.
Steven was drawn to the legal profession because of his interest in research, analytical thinking, and problem solving, as well as the opportunity to work closely with people to help them achieve their goals. Influenced by his father’s background as a lifelong entrepreneur, he developed a strong appreciation for small businesses and the role they play in driving innovation and growth within the economy.
His practice is centered on helping entrepreneurs, creatives, and business owners navigate intellectual property matters with clarity and practical guidance. Brand protection is at the core of what he does, whether that means securing trademark rights, registering copyrights, or developing a broader intellectual property strategy that aligns with a client’s long term business goals. Steven values taking the time to understand each client’s specific needs and believes that no two businesses or creators require the exact same approach.
Steven earned his B.S. in Business, with concentrations in Marketing and Economics, from NYU Stern School of Business and his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the District of New Jersey.
Outside of his practice, Steven values continuous learning, personal growth, and self-improvement. His perspective is influenced by the idea that “the most important step a person can take is always the next one,” reflecting his focus on persistence, reliability, and continued progress in both his professional and personal life.
