20-year Veteran David Postolski Joins Firm’s Esteemed Roster of IP Practitioners
Summit, New Jersey – Gearhart Law, a leading New Jersey-based IP firm specializing in patent and trademark law, is pleased to announce the addition of David Postolski to its team of attorneys. Mr. Postolski brings to the firm 20 years of extensive experience in numerous practice areas including patent prosecution and counseling, trademarks and copyrights, healthcare law and life sciences. His patent practice encompasses various technological and scientific areas, including software and app development, financial transactions, gaming, medical, mechanical and electrical devices, and business methods, as well as patents related to chemistry and life sciences.
Though his background is diverse, Mr. Postolski specializes in assisting inventors, creators, start ups, entrepreneurs, early stage companies and emerging companies with U.S. and international intellectual property strategy, protection, enforcement and monetization.

Prior to joining Gearhart Law, Mr. Postolski was employed by Day Pitney, a full service law firm with close to 300 attorneys in New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Boston and Washington, DC. He is registered in the State of New York and with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Postolski frequently speaks and authors on various intellectual property issues, and is deeply involved in the creation of New York State’s first federally approved patent pro bono program in conjunction with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
Mr. Postolski possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics from New York University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Oregon State and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Nova Southeastern University. He also speaks multiple languages including Japanese, Hebrew and Yiddish. Mr. Postolski currently resides in West Orange, New Jersey.
